How to tackle fears?

Updated: Jan 30, 2021

Fear and constant worries ...

Marie Curie said that “You don't have to be afraid of anything in life but just understand. Now is the time to understand more, to be less afraid. ”

Fear and worry are two negative emotions that do not encourage our evolution but only consume our daily energy.

When we become aware of our fears and the things that worry us, we may discover what makes us act a in certain way. From this point in we can go on to develop our self-confidence. Why? Because when we worry, we nurture with energy the things we don't want in our lives and most of the time we worry about things that don't even happen.

In order to overcome these negative and blocking feelings, I suggest the following exercise:

☀️ Make a list of the top three causes of your fear or worry. It could be about money, relationships, health problems, decisions related to your children, etc. The list of things that worry us is endless, that's why I suggest you write on paper only the first three that come to your mind. Then find two positive solutions for each, because when we get into a state of deep fear and worry we tend to repeat on and on how bad the situation is, losing sight of the solutions and opportunities.

☀️ After writing the three things that cause you worry and fear along with the two positive solutions for each, look at them at a time and create the emotional state of mind you would have if that optimistic scenario came true. In this moment you got rid of worries, of fear.

☀️ Write how you felt when you allowed these positive possibilities to enter the realm of reality. Did you feel liberated or excited or less worried? Did you feel that anything is possible?

☀️ Now turn these opportunities and solutions that you have identified into objectives and concrete steps to achieve and solve the fears, worries and problems identified.

Give me a message and tell me how useful you found this exercise!

Good luck!
